Okay, I am reading the book called "Missional Renaissance" by Reggie McNeal. Why not help me process some of what I'm reading? Here's a (rather long) quote: "The way forward for churches that want to redefine their position in the community will be through service and sacrifice." ... He goes on to say that that we must make a "major shift into a kingdom way of thinking and seeing" and that we instead of tracking the traditional factors "(attendance, monies received, activities at church)", the new "metrics" will be "monitoring the church's positive community impact beyond its walls." How does this strike you? How do you understand this? What kind of impact would this change in thinking have on our church? Do we have the energy/will to do this? I'd love to hear from you! Wayne
